A Day in the Life: Sewing is so Nourishing

I love to sew. I taught myself in college when I had virtually no clothes and wanted a fashionable wardrobe. I didn’t realize that it was supposed to be difficult or possibly uncool to sew your own clothes. I found myself a used sewing machine for $25, bought a Vogue pattern, some fabric that I loved and made myself a skirt and top. Wow, that was fun! I discovered that I could pick my own fabric and my own one of a kind wardrobe. Years went by and I tired of it for awhile and returned to knitting, quilting, and always painting.
I now have grandchildren and have discovered such an awesome nourishing way to make something for them. I ordered some fabric online that I designed plus I have a stash of fabric. I measured my little girls, and designed them some sweet skirts!

The girls had so much fun picking out fabric and then wearing the skirt! Such a nourishing artistic act to do for someone I cherish.
