Week Word: Therapeutic and Cynosure
We have the pleasure of having 2 week words this week! Therapeutic, provided by Domestic Scribbles and Cynosure suggested by Junebug’s Musings.
Therapeutic, well my definition of therapeutic is relaxation. I had the good fortune to have that experience this summer in Hawaii!
I also find gazing, painting, growing or whatever with flowers is so therapeutic!
Cynosure, if you are not familiar with tis word(I wasn’t!), here is the definition: a person or thing that is the center of attention or admiration .
Upon reading this definition, I immediately thought of a bride and groom.
At a wedding, they are royalty. Who isn’t filled with admiration when gazing at the newlywed couple?

Hi I'm Joye!!

Great photos. Definitely therapeutic! Stop on by to see my therapeutic post and don’t forget to check out the others listed on Domestic Scribbles’ site.
I can hear waves and smell sea breezes in your Hawaii photo.
Yep! The ocean, the waves, the sun… perfect therapy! Never made it to Hawaii, but hope to some day. I settle for the Carolina beaches in the meantime!
Happy weekend! B.
Very therapeutic, and Hawaii looks so relaxing……………………………
never been to Hawaii but you definitely look happy, healthy & relaxed…
stargazing – WOW! love it! and it is therapeutic! I’ve spent many nights camping or sitting on the beach looking at stars. Too bad I don’t take more time to stargaze from my patio! perhaps I get too caught up in taking care of my chores??
will be posting my WEEKWORD thoughts about “CYNOSURE” in a few days… Loved your interpretation… a wedding couple is a beautiful response.
love the bright colors of your Hawaii Garden painting! I bet Hawaii is a wonderful place to visit. and your ‘cynosure’ make a hansome couple :]
What a neat effect on your Hawaii Garden photo! I’d love to see Hawaii someday.
Ah. I can’t wait to try out the therapeutic virtues of Hawaii someday. Sounds amazing.
You are so right one with cynosure! Excellent observation that I hadn’t thought of.
Oh therapeutic Hawaii-one of my favorite spots in the world. Your artwork as always is just beautiful and I LOVE the wedding couple as cynosure-they’re just adorable
Good heavens, you did two words at once! I can barely manage one at a time
I need more therapeutic in my life then, I think?
Flowers are calming to me, too… something about taking that moment to really look at them or smell them. The Georgia O’Keeffe quote, what was it? “Nobody sees a flower really; it is so small. We haven’t time, and to see takes time – like to have a friend takes time.” Bet she would have agreed that flowers are therapeutic!
Yep! After my son’s wedding in November I definitely agree with your view on cynosure! B.
