Inspiration Thursday, It’s the Little Things

Every Thursday I have tried to write a post about someone or something that inspires me. I have been thinking about this a lot today. What does it mean to be inspired creatively? It seems to me that whatever or whoever is giving me inspiration helps me feel motivated to work harder. Through the inspiration I am given a special spark to love what I do even more, and an admiration of the elegance of the inspired. I have written about other artists, children, and my surroundings. Already I have a list of people that I want to interview for future posts that I truly admire, people living today that have accomplished so much.
But today it is the little things in life that inspire me.
The sky at night near the ocean.
The way the wind makes the leaves flutter in the wind.
Drinking coffee on my deck with spring flowers surrounding me.
Reading a good book in my sunroom while it is cold and rainy outside.
Watching my grandchildren play and look at the world in such a hopeful way.
Looking at a flower real close and see even more beauty in it.
Read about quantum mechanics and realize how big and awesome our universe really is.
See my 94 year old mother struggle everyday but not give up.
Any color at all.
My children and my husband.
The exquisite taste of freshly made fruit juice.

Just the beginning of my list.

Pepper, Lemon, Garlic, and Tomato
