Inspiration Thursday: Sunsets

I know, I know, liking sunsets is really sappy, but seeing a sunset over water is always so inspiring. The colors from the light reflected on the water is calming, yet exciting at the same time. There is something so still and magnificent about it.
I finished painting this watercolor on canvas today of a sunset over the Margate Bay in New Jersey. Added a lot more colors than there really are, but, hey, isn’t that an artist’s prerogative?
