Wednesday’s Creative Tip: Make Lists
In a very weird compulsive way, making lists are so satisfying! Start the day with a list, then when you check the items off you feel so accomplished! What if you didn’t have that list? Of course you would forgot what you needed to do that day, but that sense of completion wouldn’t be there.
But lists can also be helpful to compile ideas, and to brainstorm about creative projects. A list that I think can be very informative and can assist you in disclosing your inner most imaginative ideas, is a list of what you love.
Ok, first of all, I assume the top of everyone’s list is their husband, children and family, I know that is what is at the top of my list.
Besides that, what are your passions? What thrills you to do, to ponder, to watch?
Here is a brief list of my loves:
Flowers, I always seem to gravitate to painting flowers. It is difficult to find a painting of mine without at least a blossom!
Lots of flowers full of color! I have realized that one reason I love flowers so much is their abundance of color.
And then there is color. Color makes my heart go all a flutter! Color makes me happy and always has!
Knitting and textiles in general. I love the feel of velvet, yarn, cool thread, you name it, anything textural.
OOOH, yarn, flowers, and purple, wow!
And then, of course, there is the ocean.
Think about what your love list is…it will start to inspire you to do something about that list, a painting perhaps??
