Stress and a good yarn…
It has been a bit stressful in my life lately. My mom had a stroke and let’s face it, she is getting old(94 tomorrow!) and dementia is setting in. Hurt feelings are inevitable when your parent gets confused, paranoid, and sometimes just plain mean. Knitting helps. Having a good cuppa and sitting down to some good meditative knitting with some luscious yarn. The repetition of the needles, the smooth silky yarn slipping through my fingers and seeing something beautiful just grow.

Hi I'm Joye!!

So sorry to hear that things aren’t going so well and that your mama is not feeling too good. Happy belated birthday to your lovely mama. I hope you girls had a good celebration. I pray that things will get better for you and that your mama will be feeling much much better. Have a lovely merry happy day and love to you!
p/s: your painting is gorgeous…feels so cozy and warm just looking at it.
Thank you for your kind words! My mom’s birthday was wonderful, though I celebrated from afar. I will be visiting her this week to help her & my brothers clean out her house so she can live in assisted living. A bittersweet occasion!
Thank you for such a nice compliment and I’m so glad to virtually meet you. With so many fellow bloggers in this e-course it’s been hard for me to see who all is in the class. I’m so glad to meet another artist and knitter. You’re work is lovely and I looked around at your other web areas too. Very nice. I’m going to add you to my blog roll. So please keep posting I want to see what you’re working on.

Thank you for stopping by my blog Joye! Yours has been a fun trip for me to take too. I wish you the best with your mom – I have been going through this same process, although she lives with us now, for the past two years. It is a difficult passage, you are lucky to have siblings that help! Lovely paintings … best wishes – Susan
