A Day in the Life, Teaching
I love teaching, I really do. When I was a little girl and had few other children around to play with, I would pretend that I was a teacher. Very elaborate teaching about what we were learning in school at the time, math, social studies, science, whatever. I still have that very satisfying experience teaching another person a skill I know. Teaching something actually inspires me to do that skill even better. Tonight we had a little reception for my watercolor students from this past year. We just started this series of watercolor courses at my local frame shop, so the attendance has been small, but intimate. We have such a good time!
Most of my students are beginners and we work on the many aspects of putting a painting together.
But the most important part of painting as an adult is the journey. Enjoy the process and you will have fun learning!
