A Day in the Life: Oil Progress

I have been slowly working on an oil of a stream in upper Pennsylvania. By the way, it is not the same stream as my previous watercolor sketch. I guess I am just smitten with streams!

I am back to work today after a wonderful holiday weekend with friends and family! However, it is over 90 degrees here on the east coast and I just am too hot to paint

A Day in the Life: New Hampshire Oil
I have finally finished my large oil landscape of New Hampshire I painted this from a photograph by my friend, Ken Olivenbaum. He said that he snapped this photo while driving in New Hampshire with a view of Mt. WashingtonI love the way it came out with the dreamy colors in the distant mountains! What do you think, any good titles come to mind?

A Day in the Life: New Landscape
I have snuck in some time in my studio, and, boy, do I feel better! I am a painter first and foremost. Here is what I am working on, an oil landscape of a Vermont landscape scene photographed by my friend, Ken. I am painting using palette knives to keep it loose. The yellow ochre space is the canvas under painting I haven’t painted yet.I will keep you updated with my progress!
