It is the height of the retail season, not to mention our own family celebrations this time of year. As you know, I have been in numerous shows, exhibiting my artwork as well as my new jewelry line. Whew, I have another fine art showing tomorrow night in downtown Philadelphia!
But, my great news is that starting in January, I will be selling my artwork and jewelry in a real live store as well as continuing to sell here on my blog and Etsy. My work will be at The Frame House in Elkins Park, Pa. Yippee, can’t wait!!:) Will keep you posted, will be doing some exciting things there!

Hawaiian Week: Part 3
It was a day of walking about, swimming, shopping, and basically soaking in the florals and the Hawaiian sun!
I found the coolest earrings in my shopping adventure today. When traveling, I always try and find the local artist guild to locate the best local artists. In Paia, I found a small guild with some especially unique jewelry made from flowers, yes made from flowers, not a sketch painting, likeness, made from the actual flower petals.
These little gem earrings are made by Joan Mercer, “Floral Artist” from Kahului, Hawaii. She has a magnificent garden and takes the petals from her flowers and makes jewelry and wind chimes from them. How cool!
More over the weekend, have a great Saturday!

Joyeful One of a Kind Friday: Amazing Wood Vessels
Recently I needed to purchase a special gift for a special person, so I of course turned to Etsy for some online shopping! I wanted something different, artistic, creatively made, and I found the perfect thing, a hand crafted wood vessel. I love all things natural, and having a couple members of my family work in wood, and I know it takes perseverance, patience and talent to make something creative out of wood.
Holzfurhaus is the shop I discovered.
I was drawn to Mark Wilding’s clean design and colorful vessel exteriors. “Holzfurhaus was created as a creative outlet, a means to learn, nurture, generate and share the vision from within.”, isn’t that the greatest mission statement?! That definitely drew me in. Definitely check this shop out for a special eye treat and great gift ideas!

It’s Friday!! One of a kind joyeful finds!!!
I wrote yesterday about keeping a journal with you to write down those ideas for creating. Those little gems that slip away if you don’t them get down immediately!! I found a small, simple, yet beautiful hand bound journal found that can be found online at
Transient Books . I bought one of these sweet books and carry it around to write ideas or sketches.
Ordering this journal was very easy even though they are located in Argentina. They ship from the US and the journal came quickly. Dealing with Alex was a pleasure. In fact, cruise around their site, and you will discover a video describing their business and a little music as well. Magu, originally from Córdoba, Argentina, is a singer, musician and composer, besides being a bookbinder. You can hear a little of his music at Sombraitoro .
I try to follow my own advice and write down ideas that come to me ——-and sketches! Now just to have enough time to implement them all!
Sooo… this is a start of a new feature on my blog. One of a kind joyeful finds on FRIDAY!! Art, music, writing, books, whatever I find interesting made by a creative person & is beautiful that I would like to share with you!!
Enjoy and have fun!!!
