Food is Good, Hummus
In the summer, it is always nice to have pick up food around. Dips and salads to grab and eat with veggies, pretzels, crackers, or whatever. One dip that I enjoy making is hummus and can be made to be lower in calories than the store bought kind.
I start by soaking dried garbanzo beans overnight. I then boil them the next day until soft. In a food processor, combine the garbanzo beans, tahini(can be from a can or make your own), juice of a whole lemon, 2 cloves garlic, and salt and pepper. Notice I add no oil, just drizzle some on top if you desire, but it can be made with no oil. Pepper or hot paprika can be added for some spice.
Enjoy!
