Food is Good, the Ubiquitous Pizza
Pizza is an ubiquitous food, everyone seems to love it and it is available almost everywhere here in the USA. Since we are health conscious in our family and also are vegetarians, I make my own pizza whenever possible.
Here is my recipe for the dough:(Makes 2 large pizzas)
Combine 1 1/2 c. warm water, 1 pkg. yeast, 4 t. salt, 4 t.olive oil, 1 t. sugar in dough hook mixer bowl. Gradually add 4 cups of flour while at speed 1. Increase to speed 3 when fully mixed to knead the dough.
Place dough in oiled bowl and then cover with tea cloth for about 2 hours.
After the rising, punch down dough and roll into 2 small rectangles. With each rectangle of dough, mold in hand to size of pizza pie, either a circle or a rectangle.
Here comes the fun part, the toppings! We added marinara sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheese, green olives, and onions.
Bake in hot oven, 450 for about 20 minutes. Enjoy!!
