Snow, food, friends, and staying creative
It has been very snowy here in Philly, let me just emphasize this, very, very snowy!! Growing up in the midwest, I happen to love snowstorms and the whole winter feel. Images of cozy fireplaces, cookies, hot chocolate come to mind, probably because my family did try to make winter fun and I have continued the tradition. I mean, why complain about the cold when you can adjust your attitude and make it fun!! My parents grew up in Minnesota where winter was a way of life. Snow also is beautiful!! I live a day to day life trying to be optimistic and creative. Actually being creative is part of my being. Not saying that every creative activity comes out beautiful, but I always seem to be thinking of something new to paint, knit, design, play, it makes my life complete and fulfilled. That and hanging out with my family & friends.
I got up Sunday morning after our blizzard when the snow was crisp and silent and took pictures. Then planned the day around our vegetarian Superbowl party.
My son & I made miniature spinach quiches with tons of other pick up food. Love those little fun foods!
My son did most of the cooking!!
We also made vegetarian chicken salad wraps!!
Good game and; good food and; good friends!!!
